Induced Meditation

Induced Meditation is a form of meditation unto itself and can also be used to deepen any meditative practice. Induced Meditation was developed to help people reliably achieve deep, meaningful meditative states much more quickly.

It does so by:

  • quieting the brain thru habituation / inhibition of the brain’s vigilance mechanism (switching off the ego / lower mind to quiet the mind)
  • directly stimulating greater presence of the higher mind

Meditative states have been shown, using EEG and other functional neuro-imaging technologies, to cause the brain to be in a state of quiet functioning. In that state it is resting and receptive.

What is Neuro-Energetic Integration Technology (NEIT)?

The SolTec Lounge integrates mind, body and spirit through induced meditation with synchronized sound, vibration and magnetic field stimulation.

EEG frequencies typically range from delta (<4Hz) to theta (4-7.5Hz) in sleep to alpha (8-13Hz) and beta (>13Hz) in wakefulness.
Deep meditative states are accompanied by theta frequencies with the retention of conscious awareness.

Our findings show that SolTec Lounge induces deep states of meditation (theta brainwave state) with regular use.
During the learning phase users exhibit alpha and theta waves and experience a very pleasant state of relaxation.

EEG – Electroencephalogram is a test that detects electrical activity in your brain using small, flat metal discs (electrodes) attached to your scalp.
Your brain cells communicate via electrical impulses and are active all the time, even when you’re asleep.
This activity shows up as wavy lines on an EEG recording.

This video explains further the first necessary ingredient – how we quiet the mind with the SolTec Lounge.

How Does the SolTec Lounge Work?

Since the days of our early ancestors we have been endowed with a nervous system that has a built-in, hard-wired survival mechanism. With this mechanism we are always scanning our environment for potential danger, consciously and subconsciously. This mechanism is supported primarily by three of our senses – sight, hearing, and touch. When you’re in a SolTec session, your senses of sight, hearing and touch are quieted producing a brain state of inattention.

During a session you are instructed to close your eyes and deeply relax or fall asleep. As a result, your visual system receives no stimulus. The SolTec Lounge consists of a comfortable, manually recline-able, seating platform containing an amplifier and transducers that produce sound (music), vibration and magnetic stimulation. Multi-layered music is provided, although any music can be used. We recommend music that has sufficient bass to produce a reasonable amount of vibration. Multiple melodies play simultaneously, causing the music to fade into the distance as you develop a profoundly relaxed and inattentive state of being.

The relatively constant sound and vibration cause the neural circuitry associated with hearing and touch to become habituated – to stop attending to the stimuli. Reducing the activity of the neural circuitry related to sight, hearing and touch, which supports your survival mechanism causes you to become far less vigilant or tense and as a result you become more relaxed and drift into a deep meditative state.

There is one more stimulus we provide that is exceedingly beneficial. We provide synchronized magnetic field stimulation. Our experimental work over the past 18 years has allowed us to affect an even greater relaxation response when magnetic stimulation with full spectrum audio frequencies are combined.
